Are you 21 or older and want to have fun? Help us make history with Harrisburg’s FIRST EVER interactive Murder Mystery Ball! Step into an evening of elegance, intrigue, and excitement hosted at the historic Dauphin County Courthouse in Harrisburg, PA.
Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM at the Dauphin County Courthouse, Harrisburg, PA
Attire: black-tie optional, so anything from business formal and cocktail up to formal gowns and tuxedos is fine. This is not a masked ball, but guests are welcome to wear masks if they like.
VIP NOTICE: If you purchase VIP tickets, the exclusive courthouse tour will begin at 8:30 at the main level. Our expert “tour guide” will wow you with his knowledge of the Dauphin County courthouse’s rich history and intricate details.

An Evening to Remember.
Start your night with an open bar with select wines, domestic beer, and spirits where you’ll enjoy free drinks and dancing with a variety of music courtesy of DJ Ben Simcox Music. Hors d'oeuvres catered by the prestigious Stocks on 2nd sets the stage for a dramatic and optional murder mystery experience in Courtroom 1 at 7pm with a fully original script and short performance with laughs and thrills by our talented cast that will keep you on the edge of your seat! After the performance, guests proceed to the “Evidence Room” to investigate clues and deliberate on the crime. Participation is optional, and guests can either play individually or with a team in real-time using cellphones and a QR code - no app download is required. The conclusion to the mystery ends at 8:00 and the winning team with the most points gets trophies for each member. VIP Exclusive Courthouse Tour will assemble for VIP guests on the first floor at 8:30PM, after the murder mystery.
Gather a winning team to compete for prizes.
Challenge your friends and rivals! Guests participating in the murder mystery may gather a team together at or before the event, come up with a name, and challenge other teams to solve the clues in the "Evidence Room.” Teams may contain up to 10 people each. Guests may choose to compete on an individual basis instead. Each team or individual will receive a “detective kit” consisting of a free mini pad, pen, and instructions. This is perfect for law firms, corporations, professional organizations, and partners looking to prove that they are the best of the best. Each clue is worth a certain amount of points, depending on difficulty, and some will be extremely difficult. Trophies and bragging rights will be awarded to the team or individual to get the most points before time runs out at 8PM!
VIP Experience.
VIP ticket holders receive premium seating at the murder mystery event, an exclusive tour of the courthouse (starting 8:30PM at the main level), a free VIP wristband, and their names on our large “VIPs & Superstars” board prominently displayed during the event. Get VIP tickets HERE.
Support for a Worthy Cause.
Proceeds from the Mystery Ball will benefit the Dauphin County Bar Foundation’s “We Care About Children” program, which provides funding for an attorney at MidPenn Legal Services to represent low-income children and their families. Your participation will help ensure access to justice for those in need in our community.
DONATION STATION “CONTEST”: We will have an area designated for donations accepting cash and credit cards. Each $5 donation earns you a sticker for your contribution and our gratitude. People who “win” by having the most stickers will have the opportunity to show off their lovely collection at the end of the night!
